Briarlea’s building has a great deal of heritage, and we’ve tried to cherish the old world elegance that the home inspires. Are and the work they do to keep you and your loved ones safe. Sally is a trained chef and can often be found whipping up a treat for our residents in our brand new kitchen – her pièce de resistance is cheesecake gateau. Meanwhile, children Rupert and Victoria (grown-ups now themselves – how time flies!) often pop by to help run the summer fete & Christmas tombolas.

What we offer Briarlea…
Mark and Sally came with visions of giving Briarlea that laid-back feel of a country house hotel. Over the years, they’ve done just that – restoring Briarlea to its former glory. Visits are welcome at any time of day at the care home. Where possible, we opt for local products and services too.
We provide our services to a maximum of 27 people and we see our size as a real advantage. At Briarlea we specialise in homely, residential care for people over the age of 65. Our infection prevention and control inspections look at how well people using a service are kept safe from the spread of infections. In this park-like setting, our residents have a front row seat to enjoy the change in seasons; however, we remain very conveniently located near major highways for easy access to hospitals and shopping centres. Our exceptionally spacious and beautifully appointed private health care residence is situated on a beautiful, quiet cul-de-sac, with idyllic views of the gardens, forests, rolling hills and valleys.
Briarlea
Doctor Pierre Beaulieu owns The Briarlea and will gladly take on all residents as his patients. A full time Activity Coordinator, Certified Chefs, an LPN, and highly qualified caregivers and other service providers all work together to ensure a higher level of care to our seniors. The Briarlea currently offers 16 private rooms, 4 semi-private rooms, and 3 independent living apartments to residents requiring level 1 or level 2 care. The Briarlea is designed to provide long term and palliative care, or even an ideal temporary solution, to individuals requiring 24 hour assistance with activities of daily living.
However, for some people, their medical needs will be at a level which are beyond the staffing volumes which are present in residential care. Residential care homes come in all shapes and sizes. At 27 rooms, Briarlea offers a homely, intimate environment, as opposed to other homes which can be much larger. We will provide our residents with the comfort of knowing that as their needs increase, they will continue to be able to stay in their home, with their friends and family, without needing to change homes.
Staffing
They will be cared for by the attentive staff they know; surrounded by the familiarities of the home they’ve made their own. If you’re recovering from a surgery – or perhaps you just fancy a change of scenery – then respite care could be a great option for you. A residential home will take care of all the laundry, cooking, and cleaning for its residents – as well as any help a person might need when getting dressed, bathing, walking and using the rest room.
Carers all live within a stone’s throw away from Briarlea and know each resident inside out. On any given day, you can count on staff coming into the home to share the latest local news with residents over breakfast. This makes our residents feel quite rightly that they remain at the heart of their community. We understand how, for many individuals, moving into care feels like a big step. The Briarlea strives to offer our residents the highest level of care possible. Our team is owned by Dr. Pierre Beaulieu and composed of highly skilled and compassionate care givers, an LPN, a full time Activity Coordinator, Certified Chefs, and other valuable in-house services. Together, we develop individual care plans that promote the physical and emotional well-being of our residents. With just 27 single permanent en-suite bedrooms we provide a small cosy home with a wonderful family feel where everyone can enjoy a relaxed and fulfilling life.

Loved ones are free to visit whenever they please. And we are here to offer them as much support as possible. When you’re home alone, we know how easy it is to get stuck in a rut. Day Care is when somebody comes into a residential home for a set number of hours in the day. Perhaps this is just for the morning; or between 9 & 5.
